Strut, a Michigan women's club ultimate team (based out of Ann Arbor), is holding tryouts in May to fill 5-10 spots on our roster for the 2006 competitive club season.
Strut's 2006 goals are to:
1. Be a GREAT team with a GREAT attitude, building GREAT friendships.
2. Play hard and travel to tournaments that challenge our abilities.
3. Become one of the Top women's teams in the Central Region.
TRYOUT DATES-- (directions to fields at end of message)
+ Saturday, May 6th 6-8:30pm, Lillie
+ Sunday, May 7th, 10am-1pm, MSU
+ Wednesday, May 10th, 6-8:30pm, Lillie
+ Saturday, May 13th, 6-8:30pm, Lillie *invitation only
We encourage everyone to make as many of the tryouts that you can. Since everyone will need to drive for practice, this is a chance to see what your commute is like. In the past some women have also biked to Lillie from Ann Arbor. It's about a 20 minute ride. If you would like to commute with others, email Julia Weinert or Sherri Goings.

Our season runs from May (after the college season ends) through mid-October--
We play together all summer and fall, and travel to at least one tournament a month to compete (current plans are to travel to Toronto, Boston, Maryland, Chicago, and our own local tournament in Hartland. The season is capped off by competing in the fall series of the Ultimate Players Championship.
Our workout schedule includes team ultimate practices (2-3 days/week), track/cardio workouts (1 day/week) and strength and conditioning workouts (1-2 days/week).
Our ultimate playing practice days are Wednesday nights from 6pm-8:30pm and Sunday mornings from 10am-1pm. Both practices will be held in Ann Arbor, unless we have players from East Lansing on the team, and then we will hold some practices at MSU. Track and strength/conditioning practices are in small groups with each city picking times to do them together. More on this later.
If you have a question about the team, tryouts, directions, or the season, please email Julia Weinert ( juliakw@gmail.com) or Sherri Goings ( goingssher@msu.edu ).
We can't wait to meet everyone!
